"The Value of Our Location"
 |
The
view from south-facing apartments takes in the historic
Greenway Cottages on our property, The Rotunda shopping
mall with its cupola, directly across 40th Street, and
Baltimore's Inner Harbor in the distance. |
If you want a great location in the city, it doesn't get
much better than this! It's no surprise that the neighborhood of Roland Park, much of which was designed by the Olmsted
brothers (son and stepson of the great landscape architect
Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr.) and built roughly between 1890
and 1930, remains one of the hottest residential real estate
markets in the Baltimore area.
RPP's founders wisely chose the park-like setting of our
campus, formerly occupied by the Roland Park Country School
before a fire claimed its main building in 1976, because of
its proximity to everything in the metropolitan area that
residents might enjoy. For those whose goal is to remain active,
Roland Park Place is just minutes from Baltimore's premier
cultural attractions, colleges and universities, shopping,
and restaurants. Residents are welcome to bring their own
cars but there's plenty to do within walking distance, and
public transportation is handy.
Today's residents are pursuing not just an active lifestyle,
but a healthy lifestylewith increased
emphasis on physical exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities
to be with people of all ages. Residents who like to take
walks, who have a thirst for enrichment courses or lectures,
or who look forward to getting out just for a change of scene
have many nearby, inviting destinations from which to choose.
This is a neighborhood with a "village" feel where you can
exercise your mind, body and spirit!
